Team,
I'm very successfully using a TTG classic, but feel the need for traffic as I use the M25, M4, M1 etc frequently.
So is it worth upgrading? several posts suggest Tomtoms traffic service is 'pants' and that the audio when using handsfree is doddgy.
I know from experience that my phone and headset have enough problems talking bluetooth. My phone appears to be compatible.
Thanks |

Before you upgrade!!!!
Check the mobile phone compatibility list.
DO NOT assume every Bluetooth Phone will work cos it don't.
And thirdly keep what you have got it is not worth the extra money.
I come to this conclusion by owning a TOM TOM GO 500 and a SONY ERICSSON K750i and trying to make them work together
The hands free ain't all that ... |

I used to have a TT/PDA combination. Upgraded a few months ago to the 500, and what a product. The voice navigation is load and clear, and speed sensitive.
The handsfree works very well, and the traffic service is very good, especially on longer journies, where an alternative route is more easilly possible. When texts come in you can read them on the large clear TT screen, and caller dispaly again on the TT is great, as is dialing from the TT.
If you have a bluetooth phone, most people now have a bluetooth handsfree, and most phones only allow one BT connection. This gets round this problem, as it is handsfree and GPS traffic in one link.
I love mine and think you would be pleased with one if you bought it.
I would agree though, do check the phone compatability first, mine is a Nokia 6230i. _________________ iPAQ 5550; 400MHZ - 256 SD Card - TT wired GPS - TTN3 UK - PPC 2003 |
