I'm using GlobalSat BT-318 currently with a small antenna that's included when I purchased. I found it usually takes a few minutes to obtains fix when it's on a car. It won't obtain a fix if I walk on street with it.
Despite the price, which is the best receiver and/or antenna that obtains fix quickly even when I walk on street?! |

If you have BT go for a Holux 236 slim.
I have just purchased one for use with HP4700 and it is the dogs.
Min 10 hrs battery, when walking in open country picks up to 10 satellites
giving you spot on location. Fast warm up too.
There is a review on these forums somewhere, which will verify my thoughts.
Good luck

If you're using a PDA and running TomTom navigator 5 then I would agree with MGTF and recommend the Globalsat 338. From the reports on the forum It seems to work really well with TTN5 with fewer bugs than I get using my Rikaline X6 CF.
