Do the Qtek pdas/smartphones ie, S110/9100 work on the standard satnav software such as CoPilot Live 5?
I ask as I'd love to keep my CoPilot 5, sell my Dell X50 and Sony Ericson T630 and have a do it all product.
My other question is can you use your pda as a phone whilst it is doing its satnav stuff at the same time? |

don't know about copilot 5, but i'm using tomtom navigator 5 with no problems, the s110 is a standard (but smaller) pda first, with a phone built in, and yes you can use the phone and tomtom at the same time. |

Hi Aliendad :D
I have a nokia 3230 at the mo running ttm5 and saw your topic and wondered if you could you give me your honest thoughts on the qtek s110 please? Compared to the 3230 what are the pros and cons? I am researching at the moment cos I fancy a change. I think it's a good idea to have a pda with mobile phone built in but am a little scepticle as to the performance of the machine i.e. what happens when the phone rings whilst navigating on the tt5?
The only problem I have with the 3230 is the audio on the ttm5 whilst in my car kit, it doesn't work, so I could quite easy miss the speed cameras cos it only flashes.
I await your reply and sorry for all the questions but it's alot of dosh to fork out, only to find that it does the same as my smartphone.
With regards

first of all, glad to help, i have now replaced my s110, but i didn't sell the old one in the end, my wife is using it!
some peaple have said they have had problems using the phone whilst using tomtom, i had no problems at all, and was very pleased, the touch screen helps a lot with tomtom and it was still smaller than my previous phone.
one down side is the speaker is on the back, so muffled by the holder, but the pda has a 2.5mm stereo headphone socket so i used a pair of active speakers for the sound, yoda sounds great!
hope this is of some help, any more questions, happy to help.
two final notes.
of course this is my opinion so your's may differ.
and i only upgraded for built in wifi and had to have the latest version of windows mobile.
but tomtom 5 will work on the new windows, but it is not easy to install.
pda's use a different version of tomtom to the one used on some mobile phones. |
