Is there any way to get any app (i.e. TomTom) to load up automatically on switching on your PDA.
I guess no event is fired in Windows Mobile when switching the PDA on?
Would be handy. |

Just put a shortcut to the Navigator.exe in \Windows\Startup - that should do what you want, I think.
Cheers,
Steve. |

I think that's useful when the PDA is hard reset?
Any one else got any bright ideas? |

No, that's when the Pocket PC is SOFT reset. When you HARD reset all data is gone.
What you want to achieve is possible with the EVENT_WAKEUP registered event (you need to write a little program to register that event).
However, it is not really something you want to do... Better install the Today screen plugin (the TomTom Wizard) and spend one more tap after you switched the Pocket PC on . _________________ Lutz

An easy way would be to assign Tomtom to a button. All you need do then is press the button and TT will start.
I have assigned mine to Button 4 and it works a treat.
I am not sure but if you have it on auto start (Add to Windows Startup and then soft reset it may consume more power when on standby as TTN5will be running in background)
Have fun |

Assign one of the bezel buttons if you have a Dell Axim X30. EVERY time I put my PDA in the cradle it presses one of these buttons by default and fires up either my Notes app or the Wireless gets enabled!!!
