Hi grayus,
No, you’re OK, you haven’t damaged your iPAQ 2210 by installing TTNav 5.1. I’m running an iPAQ 2210 with TTNav 5.1 and it’s working perfectly. In fact if you wish to use any third party application that’s been written using the SDK5 (Software Development Kit for TTNav 5), e.g. CheckPOInt 5.xx, then you will need TTNav version 5.1 or above.
I run 1GB CF cards, but I think that you will be OK to load different maps onto your other SD cards and swap them as necessary. You may have to go through the activation process though.

Hi grayus,
Where does it say "not for use with an iPAQ 2210"? Are you referring to the following:
TomTom website wrote: | This update cannot be used with TomTom HP Navigation Pack (HP iPAQ 1710+2110). |
The TomTom HP Navigation Pack was a complete package that came with a 1710 and later on a 2110. The TomTom HP Navigation Pack was effectively TomTom Navigator 4.xx.

Hi grayus,
No worries! We’ll blame HP for calling their newer PDA a 2110, when they had already used the name 2210 for a highly successful predecessor. When the 2110 was released there was plenty of confusion (in these forums) as to whether people meant the old 2210 or the new 2110.
By they way, the 2110 is compatible with the 5.10 update. The link that you supplied was referring to the TomTom HP Navigation Pack, which isn’t TomTom Navigator 5 and thus won’t accept the TTNav 5.10 upgrade.

But, despite what TT support told me earlier this year, can be upgraded to TT5. |
