Not sure if this is right, but I assume you only need one country with a "plus" version loaded to have access to Major Roads of Europe, all other countries could be "non plus" versions (saving mb) - this would mean loading the plus version every time you were going between countries & then switching back to the relevant country map you were in?
The alternative seems to load up all the plus versions, which severely limits the number of countries on a 1Gb card.
Hope this makes sense!

You got it half right (I think)
If you load one map with Plus on it, you will get a detailed map of that country and major roads of Europe. This would get you through Europe but only on major roads. If you want more detailed maps, you would have to load that map as well. 8O
For example, You want to travel from England to Italy.
What I would do:
1. is load Great Britain Plus (This will get me around England and all the way to Italy)
2. load Italy (Once I get to Italy I would change to this map as this would give me more detail whilst there)
I think this is right but have not tried it yet so I could be talking |

yep that's what i meant when I said you would have to swap back to the country you were in - I'd assumed you had all maps loaded!
The "plus" version although a good idea does eat the mb - perhaps we could have auto switching! |

A 1GB Sd Card will not hold all of MOWE, so 1 map has to be left off, usually the opposite way that you're going. _________________ Richard

Auto switching would be a brilliant idea!! I get really fed having to switch maps. This week I'm driving through France to stop overnight in Belgium, then to an overnight stop in Germany. The following morning I'm driving to an address in Belgium then back to Germany for the night then back to Belgium, back to Germany and then back to England.
I have Benelux Plus installed but switch maps on entering Germany for the extra detail required to navigate to particular addresses in cities. It takes only a few seconds but it's a pain in the . |
