The celeb voices are a commercial product which you have to pay for albeit they are not particularly good. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The Ozzy voice is rubbish, in fact most of them are, the the Ozzy one is exceptionally bad it's just someone sounding a little drunk and f-ing a lot. They are nice as a gimmick to show your m8's but after about 5 minutes you'll be back to the default TomTom woman!
Some aren't bad though, the Joanna Lumley one is sounds like her and is a voice suited to giving directions. Another good one is John Cleese, that sounds just like him and I find his voice amusing, the best bit is if you need to get on a ferry and he goes into a Monty Pythonesque talk about getting out of the car to have some time alone as the relationship isn't developing as well as he hoped! , probably the single funniest/unique moment of any of the celebrity voice commands. For Star Wars fans the Yoda is a good option, the way he gives the directions is probably the most unique of them all "next turn left, take you will"! |

Can anybody tell me where these voices are available, and whether they're legal or not? Thanks! |

John Cleese is available from www.TomTom.com , there are many rather poor ones available from www.voiceskins.com but I can recommend the ones from www.satnavvoices.com , the Farmer and God ones are great! _________________ Darren Griffin |
