Finally got rid of my wifes Fortuna GPS smart (Too big and bulky).
I need a new BT gps but it has to work with TTN 5 mobile and a Nokia 6630 aswell as her Ipaq 1940.Ive seen a few posts with certain BT Gps's dont work with the phone setup.
So which one's a recommended ? I's like a Fortuna slim gps but i wanna buy it of Ebay and no one is selling them so whats the alternatives ? _________________ HP HX4700,2 GB Kingston SD,Fortuna Clip-on Bluetooth GPS, TomTom 5,Dell Axin X50,Destinator 6,Kingston 1GB SD Card,Nokia N80 smartphone,1GB Kingston ,TomTom mobile 5,Nokia N95 Smartphone,2GB Kingston MSD Card,TT One XL WE Traffic. |

i think the fortuna slim is great, except no auto turn off, but i hear that has a down side as well.
however why ebay?
some of the suppliers here are a great help if needed. |

no downside with the unit, just have to remember to turn it off.
pickup is great, even works on bus or train. (not underground of course) |

I have the BT77 unit and it works first time every time. Never drops the signal and lasts for 2 days off a full charge. |

I need help for installation of Tom Tom Mobile 5 on Nokia 6630 Smart Phone
I got Smart phone (Nokia 6630). to save money (as i am a very poor
man) i bought Tom Tom Mobile 5 from e-bay, which came into CD. I copied that
software to my 128 MB RSMMC card. But i couldn;t able to run the software at
all. To be honest i am not sure which program do i have to run from the
phone.
i tried to contact with the person from whom i got the software. but i think as soon as he got my money and post the software he passed away!! Never replied me back.
I got Bluetooth GPS Receiver as well. which i have able to paired with my phone.
i was trying hard to run the program from the phone. But failed.
it would be really helpfull if you can help me on this pls.
thanking you guys |

I dont think you can go wrong with any Serf3 chip set receivers.
i had a bt-77 then got a bt-338 (globalsat) and there is a big difference where i live and work. the BT-77 never got a fix at home or between home and work when on foot. in car out of town both seemed the same.
Only thing i dont like about the globalsat is that it powers itself off after 10mins of no BT connection. bit of a pain in my case as i dont like to keep TT5 running if i dont have my car charger with me so its a bit of a hassle each time i try and use it. the BT-77 would stay on for the whole trip.

[the card has to a dual voltage rs mmc card or it will not work .
all you have to do is copy over the folders to the card then run tomtom on the phone

I'm just wondering if you are trying to wind me up zmoinul1975. This is the 3rd time you have written exactly the same thing. GO and buy a legal copy of Tomtom on a 256Mb SD card! |
