I've reported about 15-20 map errors (USA for TT5), and I've noticed most of the errors don't exist on Mapquest or Google maps. These both appear to use Navteq maps, so I'm wondering:
* Is Navteq that much better than Teleatlas?
* or is TT5 simply behind the newer updates, which show up online?
Most of the errors are roads that are missing from TT5, even though the roads might be several years old. Major roads seem good, with the errors in secondary and residental streets.
Is there an online mapping service like Mapquest that uses Teleatlas? THis would show whether the errors are due to Teleatlas in general, or just due to TT5 having older maps. If it's older maps, I'd encourage TT to make internet updates possible, even if they have to charge for it, so I could have the latest maps for a trip. If Teleatlas simply can't get it right as often as Navteq, I'd encourage them to switch to Navteq.
