I know [with the version of 'POI Patcher' I have,] when it outputs the 59 OGG files, one is incorrectly named "AhLefturn.ogg", it should be "AhLeftTurn.ogg" - this throws it when trying to re-build. Just rename the file.
Personally, I use POI Patcher to decrypt CHK voices and VIFTOOL to re-create (or create) the CHK file. That way any errors do get reported back in plain English.
Once you've done it once, it really becomes child's play.

ok, when i use viftool to recompile the voice i have just split with viftool without making any changes it tells me after.ogg [nach] is missing! but its not it's there with the other files, i've mentioned this before but had no info on the point realy, will have to try poi patcher soon as i was not recording my voice at the right level before as rayflan had pointed out. maybe you could shed some light on the viftool problem.
thanks
Try decoding the voice with "POI Patcher", not VIFTOOL, as when decoding VIFTOOL uses SET VOICE LENGTHS (i.e. 10 seconds for after.ogg, etc) for each voice (assumes we speak German...).
Whereas "POI Patcher" cares not and splits the file according to the actual voice lengths.
Once decoded, try to re-compile using VIFTOOL.
Do check every file name by sight, yes, I know there are 59.
