i have a tomtom 700 with uk, europe. also i have a tomtom go 300 with USA on sd card.
is it poss to transfer uk and europe onto a new 2gb sd card, from the 700 if i have the activation codes for both tomtoms.

the chap's got a 700, so unless he installed a plus map of the uk, he just have one big european map worth 1.2 GB |

While I did not understand the necessity to have both "Europe" and "UK" on a GO 700, because "Europe" includes "UK", It should be possible to copy that over to a 2GB SD card and have plenty of room free.
We have no positive reports till now, that anybody was able to obtain a valid "activation" code for the "All Europe" map to be used in a GO other than a GO 700.
If you can convince TT to issue such a code, please post the success here and how you managed this. Personally I doubt it will be possible, since it is a clear break of the license agreement and in addition, one that TT can easily avoid if the "Device codes" are model specific. |
