I have two Rikaline 6010 Gps receivers which have
worked great for the last 2 years.
Now one of them when first switched on starts flashing
straight away, I seem to receive data from the serial port but
the receiver sends no position data.
Here is the data I get back from the device, can anyone please
advise me as to what has gone wrong and what I can do to get it
working again.

Thanks for a quick responce f948lan,
I had seen your thread and thought that
as I was getting data from the gps receiver
that it would not be the same fault.
Anyway I took the bull by the horns and opened
it up as you described, found the battery, got my
multimeter out and measured the volts in the battery.
It said that I had 3.1 Volts.
Damn, it seems ok.
Sod it I thought its coming out. Found my soldering iron
and my magnifying glass (my eye sight aint what it used to be)
and unsoldered the battery.
To my amazement after plugging it in it worked. Smile

As you said it works great without the battery but takes a bit longer
to lock on to the sat,s.

Many thanks again for the advice.

Ps Have you put your case back on and what did you use to seal it.
