After further investigation I've discovered this is a bug in automatic proxy detection in the .Net framework (1.1).
I'm looking at a possible fix, but this may break support for Windows 2000. |

You will be surprised how many people still use W2K, especially in a business environment.
There are at least 4 machines here that are W2K (and five that are W98 -yeuch )

If you don't want OTN to update on startup, then remove it from your startup menu & put it onto the desktop. Then when you want an update click the desktop icon/shortcut and off you go, when the update is complete, right click the icon in the system tray to exit.

Hi Richard, very good piece of software.
Thinking of some of my colleagues who don’t use TomTom, what about saving the data as other formats, GPX or CSV perhaps |

Have to admit, I've not gone to town on the design - I simply wanted to get a showcase running.
The advantage of the web version is it can be accessed anywhere, including direct on a connected Pocket PC. |

Great software, couple of questions.
http://www.delphi-dolphin.com/ doesn't seem to be working at the moment ? The site is ok but clicking on the icon (to generate) gives "Server Error in '/' Application."
Secondly, on the BBC site they also list areas such as "Roads" and "Motorways (All Routes)" I had a quick look in the travelfeeds.opml file but couldn't see either of these being pulled. Are you not doing these feeds or are they just a summary of data contained within each county anyway ?
Lastly, just a development thought. I (like others I guess) have your software updating a personal web server and I can then download the file to my device remotely. To allow for minimising the file size I wonder if there could be an options screen where you select counties you download.
Thanks

yes I have the same problem. I got round it by manually editing the OfflineTrafficNews.config file and putting in the path to where I wanted the file to go.
