i have an o2 xda2 and i just dropped the files including the .bmp files into the folder on my sd card called voices. i then went to change my voice from preferences in tom tom 5 and they appear with there with a picture next to them hope this helps

Windoze doesnt know what to do with a .TPB>Torret file, and neither do I  Would like to at least hear them and see if theyre worth findin legit! |

| Voices have been taken from site by cpt burns as ppl downloaded them and started selling them for their own profit |

That seems a little silly to me, now the only way to get them is to Pay these people? surly better to have them free on net.
Any way is there any way I can get them by email etc.

Agreed, if someone starts selling your free stuff taking them off-line achieves nothing except allowing those selling them to make more money.

Not sure how - you click the right link?
Do a "Find" in the page for "Yoda" or "Darth" (it's about half way down) and you might see them. |

I have indeed removed them from my site. Let me tell you why. I made them and distributed them for free. Untill I saw that people who got them for free started selling them on ebay for a lot of money.
So there I was, having troubles trying to pay my bills and other people made money with what I considered something no-one would actually pay for. That's when I decided to stop distributing them and later to sell them myself. They are currently for sale at tomtomvoices.tk.
To all those who got them for free, keep them and enjoy them but please don't distribute or sell them to others anymore.
To those who would love to get them, € 3.99 isn't a lot of money for such a addition to your TomTom. Please, if you want to buy them, buy them from the person who made them instead of buying from people who want to make money from other people's work.
I'm really sorry it has come to this. |
