|
|
Still having difficulty setting up my GlobalSat -338 with TomTom Navigator 5 software. I have the TomTom installed on a Siemens SX66 and the GPS bluetooth synced with the same device. However, they do not seem to be "talking" w/ each other (the GPS & TomTom). Individually, they work well with my PDA/smartphone. After I activate the GPS and get it to track, I sync it w/ my smartphone via bluetooth. This portion seems to work fine. The trouble starts when I launch the TomTom software, It shows "no GPS device" on the bottom of the screen. I made sure when I set the software portion up that it was on the same channel/Comm port as my GPS (6 and 38400 respectively). Any thoughts or suggestions? Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be much appreciated |

Hi there,
Join the club. I have been trying for three weeks to get TomTom working with a BT338 and an Axim X5. No help from TomTom and apparently I can't return the software for refund either. So I've just wasted nearly £300. :x
I hope you get it working. I should've bought a standalone "one box" item.
Good Luck |

Same as the GPS; channel/Comm port (6 and 38400 respectively). Note that when I do this, tt states "pair your GPS and PDA/Smartphone" I c/w and select continue. Next page states "GPS connected to" and lists 7 different channels. After I select the channel six, the next page states "no GPS device" :x What do you recommend? I have thus far been able to get ahold of tt support! |

C/W, and even re-installed the GPS software without any luck. Even tried to configure it with the hardware per tt. Not sure what to do now? Is there a patch download? Am I doing something wrong? I feel like I'm just missing one small step of the process. Please help |
