Hi all
Just bought myself a TOMTOM Go300.......hope it is a good bit of kit..........i need a little help, i switched it on and followed the steps as displayed on the screen.....now when it gets to entering my home address, a G68 9DT post code, it only takes the first 4 numbers&letters...ok so i try to search with the scroll function down all G68 9 places and viola my street is not listed (built in 1988) on a large estate although it does name the same street in another village (which i do know about 25mls away) but the Binniehill Rd isnt in Cumbernauld (Scotland) is not listed.......can i enter my address manualy or is there something i am missing/or need to download? as i want registered as Home/Base.....so missus wont get lost....or me ........any help/advise would be much appreciated Thanks |

hi
are you searching under ADDRESS (page 1 on the search menu) or POSTCODE(page 2 on the search for menu)
if you search under address then it will only let you put in the first part ie"AA12 1" then you tap on that and then you look for the street
if you search under postcode it will search for the full postcode but you must leave out any spaces in the postcode ie AA121AA not AA12 1AA
hope this helps

Why not stand at your front door with the TTG switched on, with sat lock, and after tapping Change Home Location , tap arrow icon, and on next page, tap GPS position. You're now home. _________________ Richard

Hi Stuggyzx10
Would Calder Road be correct, if so this was entered via the postcode on screen 2. BTW not a great idea to display your address for everyone to see.
Regards

Hi
The thing I find confusing about my home address is that it cannot locate my house number (6) - it picks up no. 5 or 7, but not mine!!!!
Any idea why? |

It's because TeleAtlas in their Mapping Information have not been given, yet, all the necessary data. I'm afraid you're probably with several thousand on that point. _________________ Richard
