Hi,
I have just bought a copy of mm landranger for SW England with an aerial view map of same area.
I have a mio168 ppc and would like to know how much of these maps I can fit onto my ppc either direct to the RAM or on SD card.
In other words what size memory am I looking at ?

The size of the map will depend on the area you select to export, MM will tell you the size before you finally do it. The size is also dependant on the amount of Storage space you have available on your SD Card.

But approximately what amount of memory am I looking at as I intend to buy a new SD card and want to know what size ?
How large would an entire map be-is the aerial map larger in memory size ?

If I load the OS 1:50K Region South East England and send Visible portion of map to PDA the exported file is 44.0Mbytes.
If I zoom in to just cover Fareham the the files size is 1018.3 Kbytes.
If I zoom out to include Portsmouth and the eastern ens of the IoW the size increases to 4.3Mbytes.
You can export the map directly to the PDA depending on how much storage memory you have free.

If you were to export the entire SW England map (assuming that's what is sold as Region 1 SW England) to your PDA you'd need approximately 320Mb to do it.
Dunno how much more would be needed for the aerial view though.
