Has anyone else noticed that the compass on the tomtom 500 and also the tomtom 5 nav PPC faces the wrong way. When it is saying say NNE the arrow is is facing NNW and so on .
Is this supposed to be correct or have tomtom got it wrong. |

The GO is right!
The arrow points to the north. The letters show your direction. So, if you drive north, the arrow is straight up. But when you turn left, the north arrow will turn right by the same amount. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

I would have thought the arrow should point in the direction you are going which it does not do |

The Compass Arrow works in the same way that 'ordinary' compasses work.
It is there to tell you in which direction North is. If it pointed in the direction that you're going, it would be duplicating what the map does now. _________________ Richard

Follow the Prefs to Compass. Choose "North up" I think that will make it work as you expect. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

If that was all it was going to do then it would be redundant. _________________ Kam |
