I stand corrected. (I should have checked first)
It seems the format has changed.
The 'pocketgps_uk_sc' file is new and now contains the GATSO, mobile, truvelo, redlight, specs and temporary camera locations in one file.
Sorry. _________________ Ian.

On a side note I notice if you look at the ini files relating to these POIs there is a default sound set so this would suggest putting the relavent sound file within the windows folder and ammending the last line of the ini file would produce individual sounds for each type of camera encountered. |
Has anyone tried this out yet ?
If not, does anyone know the path to the ini files on the Navman. I might give it a whirl. _________________ HTC Desire HD & CamerAlert

welsey, can you be a bit more specific? The .bmp file should be selected using the Navman Desktop POIEditor, and bitmap is the correct format, not jpeg. _________________ Tim |

Truvelos are listed in the main Gatso databases. Continental list cameras on the Mainland, although it is a bit sparse. _________________ Tim |

I don't have a 510 to experiment with but from what I've read, I'd be inclined to leave well alone. _________________ Tim |

I have been asked to add the camera database to a mates Navman, I have followed ALL of the intructions and all I get is an error saying that no POI's were found in the input file. I have spent about 5 hours messing about with this and I'm at the point of paying my mate for the Navman just so I can smash the bloody thing into very very small pieces.
The whole sodding Navman thing seems like total shite to me, I am so so glad that I have a Tomtom.

Two things you have to do carefully. One use the csv/other files and not the destinator files, and the other is to place a ';' in front of the header line at the top of the each .csv file, using Notepad. _________________ Richard

Thanks for the added info Oldboy, I decided to give it one last go before returning the Navman to it's owner.
I have followed everything to the letter (even to the point of setting the distance allert etc to the exact ones that Dave shows in his instructions) I assume the ";" is to rem the header, I tried allways with header and ";" without header and ";" the csv will load into the poi editor but all I ever get is "No POI's Found in Input File"
Many thanks for the info but it is now going to be returned. Surely Navman could have come up with a far easier way updating info in the unit?
Thanks again. |

I have a navman icn520 and following the instructions given it took about 10 minutes to load everything up. I have since created my own POI files using CSV Format it couldn't be easier. Perhaps you have a defective product. |

It sounds very much like you are still using the Destinator CSV files.
You should be using the CSV/Other files. In Notepad you can take the header out if you like. _________________ Richard
