Hi
I have the original TomTom Go and have upgraded using the link in this forum to 5.201. However how do I upgrade to the new version maps?
I have the new version 5 maps for my Mio 168 are they compatible with TomTom Go? If so how do I transfer them from the Mio?
I have tried copying all the .dat files from the Mio SD to the TomTom Go SD but when I then turn on the Go it says 'no maps found', does this mean they are not compatible or am I copying something I shouldn't do or not copying something I should?
Any advice/help would be appreciated
Thanks |

You are copying something that you shouldn't. You'll need to buy either the set of maps of western europe 2005 on CDs and activate them for your GO or a pre-activated SD with the map of your particular country. |

Why is it illegal if I have already purchased TT5? All i am asking is if I can use the same maps on a TT Go?
Thanks |

Under the licence agreement you do not buy the maps, you buy the right to use them under certain conditions. One of the conditions seems to be that you only use them on one machine. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)
