Hi all
Seem to be experiencing problems whilst trying to nav using post code. Whenever i put post code in, it just searches on FIRST 3 DIGITS (not the 7 as promised) then throws up every road in the city. Reading the reviews, looking at screenshots and comments not everyone is experiencing. Just wondering if I am doing anything wrong or is there an update/patch/workaround or modification I have to make?
Cheers

Hi Gazza44,
Are you using TomTom Navigator 3, 4, or 5?
What platform are you using (PocketPC, Palm, Mobile, or Go)?

Jean,
TOMTOM folder on the SD card, not "tom tom" It needs to go on the root of the SD card and not in any folder.

Deleted folder I had with tom tom and have created one TOMTOM.
Tried to enter a post code and when I press the first letter it shows for a brief second then disappears
Have I done something wrong? |

Think I have found the answer to why th eletters of the post codes don't work. If I enter number 1 in - it works, doing a bit of investigating, it seems I have the Nederlands post codes in the file and not the UK ones
Any ideas?
I did download the European maps the other week. Have I lost the UK ones? |

The Uk ones worked perfectly to 4 digits until I put in the European maps onto the card.
Do I have to uninstal anything first before downloading again from the CD - sorry if I sound thick about this. |

Just put the GB CD back in and reload the postcode file again. That should do the trick.

You should have 2 postal files in the Zip Folder. One is Great_Britain.Postal, the other is Nederland.Postal.
The correct one will be used depending on which map you are using to navigate. _________________ Richard
