|
|
When 1st out of the box I accidentally started loading the map CD first, but had not deleted old maps so it had run out of space for both. (misread the instruction sheet, stupidly assumed the sheet went down then up and not the norml left to right instead.) So I deleted the old TTN3 maps (as requested) and went back to Stage 1. I followed the Instruction properly the next time, installed TTN5 and then went for theMap CD. This time it says "Not enough room in the Temporary Folder. Setup cannot continue."
I have tried hard restets, soft resets, even restarted the pc but still the same.
Any clues or tips?

Hardresets won't affect the sd card - the data will stay on there. Try deleting the maps whilst hooked up to activesync and exploring your card from there. |

MrWol
Check out the Tom Tom website - I had exactly this issue, and it's dealt with on their site - need to delete a file from a folder on your PC. Works just fine thereafter. I seem to remember a thread in the Forums dealing with this, too.

Thanks for the prompt replies.
I had found the "temp" folder where the setup file was sitting that was causing the problem.
It was located at:-
C:\Documents and Settings\"USERNAME"\Local Settings\Temp\
(The "USERNAME" being whatever you call yourself on XP!)
Took ages to find. I just cleaned everything out and low and behold it is now loading up as we speak.
:D

Here is the Website answer to my problem.
When I install the TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 Upgrade the following error occurs: "Not enough free space occurs on temporary folder. Cannot run Setup."
Answer
If you get this message when you attempt to install TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 Upgrade pack please follow these steps:
1. Remove the CD-rom from your CD-rom drive.
2. Click on Start, select Run and type %temp%, then press OK.
3. Select the file setup.exe and delete this file by tapping delete on your keyboard.
4. Insert your NAVIGATOR 5 Upgrade CD-rom into the CD-rom drive.
5. Now you can install your TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 Upgrade. |
