Sorry if this has already been covered but I can't find anything on it.
I'm running wired TT3 on Tosh e330. Seems to have been OK but just recently the screen does not seem to be keeping up with my progress on the road. This caused me to completely miss a turning in a 'crowded' area at the weekend.
I've seen threads about needing to de-frag SD cards etc. Is there a common 'fix'? Perhaps re-load the map? _________________ Howard

Re-formating the card was one fix posted & then re-loading maps.

I've ordered a high-speed SD card (256) and I'm going to load maps and POIs to that to see if improves the situation.
Do SD cards really need de-fragging? I read a thread on here once that said this is nonsense as it's effectively 'hard' memory (i.e. chip-based) so it can't get fragmented.
Anyone got exeprience of the de-frag software advertised on this site? _________________ Howard

Surely then I won't see speed cameras etc. as I approach them?
I use POI Warner so I get a verbal warning but it's nice to glance at the map occassionally just to make sure. _________________ Howard

De-frag & Reformating are two totally different operations, one optimizes the space available while the other wipes clean the card & formats the card using the pda's os, this in turn can iron out some of the reading probs.
Most have a utility they like, mines pocket mechanic v1.49, don't like the newer versions as more memory reqd to load up with features I don't want!
