Yes I do, and everything works well. So far no problems in fact the SMS function works too well. I get SMS updates on the state of the London underground network and as you can imagine I get a lot and good old GO 700 gets them all :D |

Probably need to look at my config then.
Did you do anything special? i.e. set your phone up manually? _________________ Thanks,

I was pleasantly surprised that it set itself up by using the auto setup route.
When using the Go I let it connect to the phone without asking. I turn the phone on then turn on the Go. Do you do it in that order?
I cant think of anything else I did out or the ordinary.
I have just noticed that you have a bigger memory card in your phone than I have, and also you use the external antenna, It just a guess, but could either one or both be having some effect on your setup? |

Intersting - yes the phone is always switched on before the GO.
I'm going to try with the smaller memory card in as you're right this could make a difference.
I also have a permanent GPRS connection set - this might cause a problem so I'll try with it off.
What network are you on? I'm on O2. I think this may make a difference as well. _________________ Thanks,

Well I've just had a reply from TT after two weeks - they think it's because I leave a permanent GPRS connection running and I should change this setting.
As I have now tried it with the original memory card in with no sucess I will give this a try at the weekend. _________________ Thanks,

Hi Beggarspath,
I only have problems with the text messaging. Although I do know some of the earlier firmware versions (which your phone has) have further issues connecting to the GO.
1.You could update the firmware on your phone.
2. Some people on this forum have manually created a contacts file on the GO. If you perform a search you will be able to find it.
If you would prefer to get traffic rather than text messages - reset your TT and set your GPRS to "always on " and this may make the difference.
Hope this helps. _________________ Thanks,

I have just turned on my 700 and been having a play. I have a v525 motorola, it links up fine, texts received come up fine on the tom tom, but ti says it will not suport sending them, so no replies etc.
BUT, when I receive a message and it appears on the tt700, how the heck do I dlete them? I go to options having highlighted the text, and it has call, reply and forward options, but no DELETE!
Anyone know?? Surely its only a mater of time if it all jams up if it gets full!! |

I have a tt 700 and Nokia 6230 version 5.24 and i can send/recieve messages with the Go. All functions of handsfree work OK.
The way i set up was, switched on Go, then got the phone to search. |

Can you delete them off the GO too? If so how? |

The only way to delete them is to reset the GO (little hole under the unit) - for some strange reason TT didn't provide a delete option.
Hope this helps........ _________________ Thanks,
