Hi,
I have been searching the forum for this information but cannot find it (point me to it if you know where it is please!).

I have the Sainsburys POIs installed on my TomTom mobile 5. Unfortunately, the location of my local supermarket is incorrect and the directions would send me to completely the wrong place where no Sainsburys exists!

I have searched for information on how to change the Long/Lat information in the existing POI file but cannot find anything.

Does anyone know how this can be done?
I understand how to create new POI files, but not how to edit those that are already installed on my phone.

Cheers!

There are, as always, 2 ways to do it.

1. In Manage Poi - delete the incorrect one and then go to Browse Map, put the Cursor on the correct location and Add as POI.

2. Copy .ov2 file to PC, convert into a text file. Locate entry in Text file, correct it. Then convert back into .ov2 file.

Personally, for the odd location, the first is quicker.

Can I ask which Sainsbury's POI you have?

I just wondered where you got the Sainsburys POI .ov2 file.

Ah! the 'borrowed' ones I believe.

If you want a Sainsburys Petrol Station POI you can find one here - http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/oldboy/TomTomPOI/index.html

I haven't done the store one yet.

I was referring to this Posting - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=137610 - not you personally. Wink
