|
|
Hello there,
I have a large customer-base as a POI. I'd like to add their telephone numbers so I can use the same facility that TT5 uses on page 3 of the Main Menu as in 'Call Number'.
I cannot find a way of getting my own POI to work with telephone numbers - it's greyed out - as is all the other useful POIs which I have downloaded.
Is it just TT5's POI.DAT that is capable of this feat?
I have used AutoRoute, Excel, POI Edit and POI Converter all without success, Has anyone cracked this???????
kind regards
Baz |

From the TomTom site:
Question
Why does the option 'call number' not work on my TomTom NAVIGATOR 5?
Answer
If you get the message 'No phones found' when trying to call a Point of Interest (POI) using TomTom NAVIGATOR 5, then your PDA does not have a build-in telephone function.
Only PDAs with a built-in telephone (like the MDA, XDA, QTEK or iPAQ 6340) can make use of this feature. Even though you can pair a mobile phone to your PDA via Bluetooth, the option 'call number' will not be supported.
So that's my answer!

Ah I see what you mean. I didn't actually want to phone them I just wanted to see their number via the POI or pointing on their location on the map.
Looks good though (aprt from the '+' before the number) but I'm not worried about that.
