Hi .. I'm very new to this so please forgive any misdemeanors .....
Fantastic set of stuff for the tomtom700 ...well impressed .. thanks ...
I do have one small query ... using the "navigate to lat/lon" beta from the link on the first page ... I've sussed that - means west, + means east and that default (no sign) gives eastings... so I can enter an accurate easting eg 1.21.45, however if I want an westing the most I can input is -1.21.5 and for northings the same limit applies 51.23.6 .. |
Ok, here's your problem. At the moment you can only enter coodinates like
52.5599
-4.6545
etc...

For ScaredyCat
In the UK current time is UTC/GMT +1, with the timezone set to +1 the 'What Time is it' app shows the correct time but the clock on the status bar shows UTC/GMT and consequently arrival time for a route is also UTC/GMT. Is there any way of changing this - So status bar time is also same as 'What Time'? |
Odd works fine here, even if I set it as +1 (i'm in +2) - are you sure you don;t touch the built in clock application? If you do it *looks* like the ttg app ignores the real clock...

Also if you powerdown the Go with the 'What Time' App running it appears to freeze on next startup - I presume this pobably due to the app running at the time but would it be possible to reduce length of time it displays the time/date for? Only a minor niggle if at all but they are great apps. and otherwise work flawlessly on my TTG500. Great work. :D |
Will look at this, is a couple of seconds enough to see the time?

Is it possible to save Lat/Lon from TT 5 on my HP Ipaq PDA?
I sue the TT on a boat on the rivers and would like to plot / save position every -say - 20 mins?
Then when I return I can use these waypoints / POI to find my way back?
Any help would be great. Thanks |

Well you say you downloaded V5.202 but unless you install it it wont do any good.
Perhaps you mean go 300/5.202
Otherwise install it. _________________ Jim-Bob

It says put in the root of the go,which is what i,ve done, allthough it didn,t give me the option to overwrite the current files,so maybe i,ve done it wrong. Not sure what you mean. |

Have a look at this
Not tryed it myself bul looks kinda like what you want.
Not sure how you will manage on rivers tho the go kinda likes to snap to roads.
Alternatiley create yourown itinerary and add waypoints as points on the map where you center on position and make sure it shows you on the river. _________________ Jim-Bob

If you were a good boy and backed up your Go before doing this then just copy the file data.chk from your backup (assuming it was a 5.200 system not a 4.21)
Loot at the FAQ for positioning icons. Basically the order (date/time) that the .cap files were copied to the Go relate to the position (TASK_SDKx) number.

Try putting the origonal data.chk file back. It cant harm. worst that will happen is they wont work. In that case put the new one back.
Go into the GOs root then into the SdkRegistry then rename the file called tomtom.mnu or called tomtom if you cant see the extention to something like tomtom1.mnu
Now turn on the go and goto menu page 4 and report back the order the icons apear in order from top left to top right then from botom left to botom right. _________________ Jim-Bob
