Hi,
Im new to this forum but i have looked through it a few times.
I am currently using Tom Tom Navigator 5 (upgrade from 3) on my HP Ipaq H2210 with a Globalsts BC-307 Compact Flash GPS recievor.
I love the software, in my opinion the tom tom software is the best navigation software around.
The thing is that i im not happy with the TTFF with my GPS recievor. It currentlly takes about 20 - 30 mins to get a 3 or 4 satelite fix, as you can understand this can be quite anoying when im in a rush. I usually turn it on about an hour befor i want to use it.
I looked into getting a bluetooth recievor but im not sure about the issues with powering the recievor. I know that Tom Tom say that the recivor can last for a full day but i dont like to run things like this from a batter especally if it runs out and i dont known where i am.
I use the lighter socket in the car for powering the Pocket pc.
I was thinking about investing in a tom tom go. Whats the TTFF like with the GO and how good is the unit itself.
Ive heard people say that they sware buy there GO and wouldnt look twice at tom tom navigator.
Whats your opinion on this. I really would like your help
:D :D :D :D |

My 500 takes between 1 minute and 5 or 6 to get a fix. That's from an over night switch off. |

Hi techno492
Try and find someone who can give you a demonstration of the Go.
Had one for 11 months, it has its faults but I woudnt want to be without it. |
