Has anyone found a why to default the browse map option to default to the current GPS position. Both the 'browse map' & 'browse traffic map' default to home location which is a pain if you are 250+ miles away from your home. |

Where else is it meant to default to? If it defaulted to the last GPS position that would be equally meaningless if the last GPS position was some time ago. It would make siome sense if the map, when getting position data defaulted to the current position - but it isn't difficult to get it to move to where you are usin the current GPS fix. For offline use then Home is as good as anything else. To get the map to show the most recent destination takes a couple of clicks. |

Maybe I wasn't clear...
I have travelled 250miles+ from home location, I'm sitting in my car and want to see the local roads ie my currect satellite fix. I click browse map instead of the map display showing me the road I'm on or near, it defaults to my home location. I then have to zoom out scroll around and then zoom in into the area I'm current located and where the satellite arrow is flashing.... a little bit stupid and a waste of time. |

In Browse Map, tap the Find icon and Select 'GPS Position'. It might be on 2nd page. _________________ Richard

To quickly centre the map to the current GPS location: tap the arrow icon on the top right of the screen. |

Should have mentioned ... that when you Browse Map it shows the same location that you last exited from.
The only time it goes to Home is if you do a Reset. _________________ Richard

Many thanks, just what I was looking for, the arrow icon in the top right hand corner is the ideal solution.. |

is there a way, in TT5, of keeping your current GPS position in the centre of the screen - with the map scrolling as necessary... TT3 used to do this if i remember rightly ? |
