Hi,
I just received today my upgrade for tomtom 5 USA and Canada.
I installed it on my x50v and everything seems to work well.
I will now go in my car and test it in real life.
Here is my question, can I upgrade my tomtom 5 USA with the 5.1 version? If yes, why Tomtom doesn't ship the version 5.1 directly?
Thanks |

I just placed my order for the TTN5 upgrade today. Yes, the 5.10 update is available on TomTom's web site for download. As far as why it's not included - who knows? Actually, who even knows why it took TomTom so long to get this upgrade released here in the U.S., when its been available in Europe for quite some time now? 8O And can you confirm that the TTN5 upgrade includes both the Palm and PocketPC versions? I know only one can be used though. |

Anyone know if the upgrade can be easily installed onto a new device? The CDs contain both PocketPC and Palm versions.
I originally have TT USA 2.0, for an iPaq 5455 Pocket PC. I'd like to install the TTN5 upgrade set to my Sony Clie TH55.
If it works, that means the two devices will work at the same time! |

You should be able to instal the tomtom 5 on the new device as you activate it as a new product. However, you will not be able to upgrade the tomtom 2 on your old device as you would have already used your device code to activate the new device. |

Thanks! I didn't need to upgrade my old iPaq, but I assume I'll still be able to run the TomTom 2.x that is already installed on it.
It'll be fun to see two handhelds run off of one Bluetooth GPS receiver. |
