If you go to the home page of this web site, you can download the speed camera database, and import the .asc files as a POI. I have just done it and it works a treat.
I am well pleased. |

Hi MisterT, did you need to resize the icons or anything or just import the contents of the asc folder? |

I resized the icons to 16 x 16, then created the POI category.
Then I used the POI Manager to import the .asc into the new category. I worked a treat. |

Cheers MisterT, should get my palm/mapsonic kit in the next few days (ordered on ebay). Will give it a try when it arrives. I tried resizing the icons but they looked pretty poor as the detail disapeared and I couldn't fit it back in. How did yours turn out? |

Yes, they do look poor and small on a PC but once you put them on a PDA which is lower res it looks ok.
I actually managed to try it out yesterday, the icon shows up and there's a sound it makes about 200 meters before you get to the camera then another one we you are about 2 seconds away. It works very well. |
