TTN5 No keyboard

I have installed TTN5 on my Imate PDA2k. I have searched this forum but cannot find anyone that has had this problem.
In Navigator or Map view I fail to get a keyboard to tap, fortunately the pda2k has a slide out physical key board. I have e mailed Tomtom with no reply after 3 days, any ideas guys????

Get the up-grade to vs 5,1 this is a well known problem and affects the XDAIIs (which is the same device), try a search on XDA and you will find loads of info - Mike

Mike, I also have an XDA IIs it works great with the Tom Tom Nav 5.1.
When I first start out I can make or take phone calls without it affecting the navigation, but it seems that after around 30 minutes into my navigation if I try to make an outgoing call or accept an incoming call it locks up and has to be soft rest. Any ideas?

What type of GPS unit are you using BT or wired, second do you use a BT headset with it, thirdly is it an O2 unit, I have used mine for long distance trips with the sat nav running and making / receiving calls no problems (in the end, in the beginning it was a nightmare and nearly went flying on a couple of occasions), let me know the answers to above I might be able to offer more specific help - Mike

Thanks for the reply Mike. It is an O2 unit I have had since it first came out, I have also downloaded the latest system software.
I use the bluetooth TOM TOM mark II gps receiver. My bluetooth headset is the bluetrek.
As I say for the first 30 minutes I can make and receive calls, but after that if I touch a hardware button or receive an incoming call it freezes.
Otherwise it works great with traffic also.

Unfortunatly what I am going to tell you to do involves a hard reset :
1/ back-up all contacts and appoitments to the onboard storrage or an SD card. There is no point in backing up the software as this will only make maters worse.
2/ Hard reset the device, and sit with it while it restarts, towards the end you get prompted for install personel or corporate - select corporate and input code 0506.
3/ re-install all your contacts / appoitments etc (but NO programs from any back-up)
4/ Re-install your programs as if it were a new device

The above turned my XDAIIs from a useles bit of kit to something I can now use, all it does is gets rid of all the O2 active interface that they (O2) put on the phone, which makes the PDA unstable - so get shut of the bad software. Note if you re-install the applications from a back-up you will put this rubish back on the phone, and it will make the device even worse - believe me - I am talking from experiance, I tried it.
On a final note if you get no sound from the speaker when answering or making a call - turn the bluetooth on then off and try again, a tad annoying but until HTC get the BT drivers sorted out we will all have to live with this.

BV, glad it all worked, just one question does your BT GPS work OK when making a call using the BT heaset at the same time i.e. when driving, mine is fine until I terminate the call using the headset and at that point it terminates the GPS - no nav - real annoying when driving - in the end I went for a wired GPS to overcome the problem - just wondering have you ever seen the same behavious? - Mike

Hi Mike, the TOM TOM GPS bluetooth receiver has been very good and has not been affected by my bluetooth headset. Sorry I cannot help.
