Consumer Alert – Buyer Beware!! The Supply Net (TheSupplyNet.com) sells poorly constructed product and then tries to rip you off. Think twice about ordering from this company!
Brief summary of my experience with this company:
1. I order a $60 dollar cable from them to link my PDA and GPS
2. First time I try to plug it into my GPS one of the pins (on the cable) pushes out so I push it back in and secured it better (It is not rocket science).
3. Cable still did not work, it had some sort of power problem with it.
4. Call one of their technicians and explained the problem, he said no problem, send it back and we will fix it. It is (supposed) to be under warranty.
5. 2-3 weeks later they send me an email wanting to charge my credit card for the repair.
6. I reply asking why I have to pay to repair a cable that never worked.
7. They reply saying that the cable DID work when I got it and that I “tampered” with it.
8. I offer to pay the repair cost if they refund me the cost of the cable and they can keep the cable (Everybody wins, I no longer wanted to do business with this company). They said no. I needed to pay the repair cost AND they would not refund my money of the cable.
9. Over the course of several emails and phones calls, I was accused of lying about talking to a technician and trying to modify the cable (I had no need to modify cable)
10. So they the only option they offered was to put the “bad” connector back on the cable and send it back to me (Oddly enough, that seems like it would cost them even more in labor and shipping then my previous offer, but who knows).

So, in short, I would look for better companies to deal with out there. Just my 2 cents. Take it or leave it.

I bought from them once in 2003 and found them not bad at all. I was able to haggle the price with them too.......all done through exchange of emails.
