its another selling point for people interested in the car, i dont know what else you get for the £10k and dont know if the add is doing well but it is good advertising for TomTom.

How is it a rip-off? If you are in the market for a new car, you'd be looking at spending 10k+ anyway.
The free SatNav is just a "selling point" to tempt you to chose a Vauxhall over a Ford/Nissan etc |
