Hi Bo Peep
I have just been reading you very inersting post about the French Radar camera's. and I have just logged on to GPSpassion and down loaded it.
I have downloaded the ov2 version as I am running the marco polo softwear and it seems to me that it has ov2 files on it, however just to be sure do you know if it will work on this softwear, and do I just copy and past each of the files or do I copy and past the folder. as this will be the first time that I have done it I want to make sure any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Guys
Am new to this game and have just upgraded to Tom Tom 5 on my pocket pc Dell Axim x30.
I need to get hold of the Speed Cameras for france, Germany, nertherlands.
If i download the one for france and copy it to the map folder will this be ok, I hear you mention
You now have two options. You can either download the .ov2 version of the database if you are using TomTom Navigator with CheckPOInt software
How can i tell if am running this ?
To connect my PDA to the pc i use Active sync
Many thanks

Hiya,
please go easy on me if my typing's not Forum-like, I'm a new starter, but I love it!
we just got SatNav (navman 510) and I've followed your instructions for the french speed cams - Fab- Thankyou. do you know if I can get any for Switzerland? we are off on Aug 9th and it would be great if you know where I can find them or if they exist yet?
here's hoping
Lisa.. |

I have just returned from 3 weeks driving through France and on to Italy. I had downloaded the French database before i left and there are literally lots more cameras than the ones on the database. (For example at 140KM on A1 heading towards Calais).
My advice is to be very careful.
The French post warning signs before cameras with a picture of a car and a motorbike and writing about securite, unfortunately these can be shielded by lorries in inside lanes. Cameras are not like Gatos we are used to. They are a grey box, mounted on the ground about 5 foot tall and 2 foot wide.
They can be mounted on either central reservation or on the verge.
I have asked Royal Mail to keep my post for me, but I know I was flashed at least once. (Again by a camera not in the DB). |

That was almost a year ago. The link has changed since then , but I don;t have the latest version or the old ones on there. _________________ Graham.

Apologies, I'm new to all this.
I'moff the France in a couple of weeks. Is this the most comprehensive dbase for France? What's the difference between the 2 dbases
Lastly, I can't seem to see a .csv file to download. Does this mean that a Garmin Nuvi owner like me can't use the gpspassion database? If not then can anyone point me in the direction of a French databse that is easy to download (and ideally free)
Thanks |

Just download the .OV2 ones and using POIConverter Downloaded from here http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=105
Start POIConerter, open the .OV2 file then save it as a .CSV file. _________________ Graham.

Got that link, thanks - we need the actual link for the camera database.
If you go on the original one at the begining of the thread it goes off to a multitude of of other pages. Unless fluent in French it certainly loses me!! |

The link for the database is http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7759
You will need to be a registered user to download them both, Fixed & Mobile Databases.
Onec you get on there as a Registered user, Scroll down to Vesions Regulieres, Format.OV2, Click on Lien for Radars Fixes and save to a location on your PC, then repeat for Radars Mobile.
You will then have the Fixed & Mobile zip archives. _________________ Graham.
