TomTom maps usa

New to this but would appreciate help if possible.

Love my TTGo with 5.2! However, just bought a dvd from ebay with maps of europe and usa. Unfortunately these seem to be for navigator not TTGo. Have been advised that they should work but had trouble when trying to copy GB (new?) from DVD to SD card.

All seemed fine except was asked for an activation code. I did put in my device code and used the Activation code from TTcodesthat was quoted. But it refused to acknowledge the map..TT said not right activation code for GB map.. is this because I already had one GB map which I had replaced?

Can the maps from the dvd be copied to the TT SD card be activated?
If so what am I doing wrong, only want california! Am getting a new SD card to fit these on if I can make them work!

All help gratefully appreciated! Otherwise I have a dvd with USA and Europe for Navigator for sale!

I fear you have bought the v4 maps . (leaving aside the fact that selling maps on eBay without activation code is highly questionable, and close to illegal).

So what you would need is a v4 activation key. Or v5 maps. with a v5 activation key for the US maps (the european key won't work).

Did I already say that buying maps on eBay is a bad idea?

Maps of Europe and USA on DVD? That's definitely illegal software. Bad idea indeed.
