|
|
I wonder if anyone could offer assistance with the following query....
I was about to buy the Holux 213 receiver when I saw that the 236 is billed as acting as both a wired and bluetooth receiver (which would be handy now and again). However, I'm not sure that I understand what connections are supported (being something of a thickie technology-wise ).
I currently have a TomTom wired GPS receiver connected by the standard TomTom cable to by IPAQ 4150 and the cigarette lighter. Can the Holux 236 be connected in the same way (i.e. via the TomTom cable). If not, is there a converter available which would allow this? Or, will the only route be via bluetooth? I'm not overly fussed about whether the GPS connects to the IPAQ by cable or bluetooth, but I do want to be able to charge the receiver in the car without the need for lots of additional wiring...
Thanks in advance

Hi MC,
If you want to power the 236 from the tomtom car mount or cable Holux UK do offer a RJ11 to Mini USB Cable which will charge any of the Holux Range of Bluetooth GPS's (gr23*'s).
Battery life (fully charged) will give you over 10 hours so unless you are driving more that this in one day you may not even need this cable.
The 236 is Bluetooth but with the data cable, it can work as a wired GPS Mouse aswell.
I hope this answers your questions and sorry for the late reply. |

Good day to one and all !
I have a Holux 236 bluetooth GPS device and my PDA is O2 XDA II
Could anyone please advise what is the best software to use for Maps in UK. I have PaPaGo!5 for Europe but the maps of UK are just not detailed enough especially outside of London.
Would appreciate any help in this manner.
Best regards
