Dave
Should I be able to see the list of POIs in the POI editor screen of GPSAssist? Unfortunatley I can only see those of the PocketGPS SC POI file - non of the others.
Also how many Shell stations should there be in the Shell POI - the one I overwrote had a couple of hundred or more in - the one I have now has approx 14? probably my mistake (yes I didn't take a back -up!)

You should be able to see them in GPSAssist, but I think you need to activate them first as GPSAssist works slightly differently as it imports them into a seperate GPSAssist file and checks between it's file and the OV2's in the TTNav country directory.
One thing to bear in mind is that with GPSAssist (and this may be the case for others), if you sync a new Safety Camera Database, in GPSAssist, you need to have the option checked that says Sync with TomTom Navigator otherwise you'll have two different versions. |

Dave
Files are both activated and sync with TT checked
able to see lists for
Motor Racing Circuits (New)
Motorway Service Stations (overwritten)
PocketGPS SC (Overwritten)
Unable to see for
Airfields (new)
Little_chef (overwritten)
McDonalds_Midlands (Overwritten)
Pizzahut (New)
Race_courses (overwritten)
Shell PS (overwritten)
Even using refresh option does not work. I have tried de-activating and re-activating - but still no list - do I have to import OV2 - I didn't have to to see the others.

You shouldn't really need to, but I've had to on a few occasions. I'm not sure how Jo is checking to see if there are new entries and to cross sync these. It maybe he's checking the last record in the file, or just doing a crude date/time check. I've also noticed before with GPSAssist that you can update our Safety Camera Database and all the entries are in GPSAssist and synced (or it would seem), but you won't be notified of any speed cameras. Sometimes creating a new POI and importing the original in seems to work. |
