I understand that to stop the blueooth manager on my H2210 constantly popping up as soon as I load TTN3 I have to set "BTBrowserEnabled" to Zero (whatever that means!).
Can some kindly soul tell me how to do this - in simple step-by-step instructions please as I am not a tech-head like many on these forums!
Thanks in advanTom _________________ ___________

Oh and by the way... should I be using V3.07 instead of V3.03?

Hi,
I downloaded tre090p as you suggested - it's now on my PPC but when I tap on it I get "there is no application associated with "tre090p". Run the appliation first, then open this file from within the application"
What have I done wrong?
Cheers

I have just had a look at previous posts on this subject and have downloaded BtRegTweak which seems to be for idiots like me! Seems to have done the trick - thanks.
I noticed that when I was using my TomTom wired gps I could straight into TTN3 or PostCodes and either browse the map or look for a postcode without any need for a connection to the gps. I notice that since I have started using the Globalsat BT-338 I cannot do this without first starting bluetooth on the H2210 and starting the GPS - is this normal?

New to this myself and not sure if Dell Axim and your PPC should use the same program.
If you click start>Programs do you have an Icon with the name TRE below it.

Forget my reply to your post above.
You should be able to look at maps etc without connecting the reciever via bluetooth

Well as soon as I tap on the TomTom Navigator link on my H2210 screen the Bluetooth Browser comes up. Same if I go to PostCodes - which of course has to load the TTN maps in order to locate the postcode and that obviously tries to load TTN3 so same thing happens - loads up Bluetooth Browser - bit of a pain if all I want is to browse the map etc.

My fault! I failed to do a soft reset after using tje BTRegTweak prog and setting it to Automatic (Background) mode - now allows me to load TTN3 and/or PostCodes without bringing up Bluetooth Browser.
All seems to be working now - think I will leave well alone and stop finding new problems!
Tom
P.S. One of these days I will find the courage to load the TTN5 upgrade - but maybe that's for another day! _________________ ___________

From what I hear TT5 is best avoided at this time, I use TT3 in London for deliveries and it works well so I do not see the need to upgrade.

Yes I too use TTN3/PostCodes in my work (HGV driver) and to tell you the truth I really cannot take the risk of replacing what is a pretty stable and reliable aid (though far from perfect) for something that appears , at least that is the conclusion I have reached from reading the many many posts about TTN5 problems, to be saddled with too many bugs to be an effective (at least as far as I am concerned) replacement for TTN3. I would have been more than satisfied to have seen TTN5 as TTN3 with uptodate maps and full postcode navigation on par with Niels's PostCode - with no other changes. Sadly this doesn't appear to be the case.
