Hi all.
I am considering one of the etrex camo's, but before I do I wanted to see what experiences you good people out there have had with one.
My main interest is for when we go camping and do a bit of walking and then we can track back after. Also I wanted to know if it is possible to track to a longtitude/latitude position?
Any thoughts I would be grateful. |

The cameo will show your longtitude/latitude position but there is no means to enter them on the unit its self but you can upload tracks and waypoints via a serial lead from your PC useing the relevant software. If your going to buy new make sure it has version 3 software which should be WAAS enabled....there are many around sold as "new" but have version 2.14 software and cost the same .. If you just want a gps for finding your way back either will do fine.

Hmm, can you not mark a waypoint and then edit the location of the waypoint to enter the lat/long that you want? _________________ Gone fishing! |
