Guys, the main reason is that the sync service drops a config file for each POI and if there's a POI file and not a config file, sometimes (not all times), it can complain until you delete the original POI, that's why I suggested a clean directory. If you would prefer not to move your existing POI's out, just beware if you have problems syncing, it maybe because you already have a POI with the same name. |

Dave,
I'd like to participate as well, but I agree with DavidW about the POIs. I run about 15 POIs some of which are my own and some I've downloaded from PocketGPS.
I don't use any synchronisation service, and the rest of my set-up is listed in my signature.

I am UK resident, currently have an iPaq 3830 with TTN 2.22 and POI Warner. I was using the sync service with POI Handler until they started charging!
I use the speed camera POI's (obviously) and am compiling a list of Concert venues (I'm a musician) and Staffordshire Schools (and teach) and am in the process of building a list of CAMRA real ale pubs (and drink).
Cheers

I'm interested in participating - though am slightly bemused by the instruction about "moving the POIs that are in your country set directory out of this directory". I feel I've missed something somewhere - can I put my personal POI files elsewhere, then?
Anyway, I'd be glad to help out in the testing.
Compaq iPAQ 3970, 2.10 ROM using TomTom Navigator 2 UK 2.22
CheckPOInt 2.0.2
No other POI sync service in use
I'm working on a POI set that I intend to publish through Pocket GPS in due course, and this may (or may not) become relevant to the test!
I should also be turning in some speed cameras in the next 24 hours - there's one more in a particular area I want to map first so that I believe I've turned in a complete set for the Dunstable (Bedfordshire) area.

Dave
If I can help in any way - pls let me know.
I have a Compaq Ipaq 3970, not currently using any POI add-on & TTNAV v2.
I'm an avid UK geocacher, so may be able to help with the testing of the POI that way ?
Cheers
