Has anyone actually received this ? I haev been waiting 6 weeks for this have had confirmation but no upgrade. Tried to call them but I think it would be easier visiting them |

Yes, I got mine yesterday, it took from the 6th of june to the 21st of july to arrive.
But beware its not the straight install you may be led to believe. Took me a great deal of time to get the map disks to work, and the postcode functionality is not automatic (you have to add a directory to your card to get it to work).
Why the hell TomTom didnt sort these things out before giong to a full production run I'll never understand. These sorts of problems should be sorted out during the beta trials of the software. _________________ TT 730 |

That is normal for TomTom and has been the same with all their previous versions. _________________ Graham.

Now the dust has settled with the huge rush on TomTom 5 upgrade, I ordered mine and had a 'Lightening' turn around of one week from ordering. Unfortunately in my excitement and burning the late night oil, I entered a wrong digit on my Mio168 device code and found my activation code didn't work!!! Ah well, emailed TomTom for a new code and hope to be in business soon. |
