Just changed form 300 to 700 and immediately noticed a much better screen with the new 700. I can now see it in strong sunlight. It appears that they have fitted some form of polarisation to the screen......maybe Tom Tom do listen!!! |

Hmm..I can't see any difference between my 300 and 700 except for the fact that on the 300, whites are a bit green (like the green is turned up too high)....other than that, they appear identical.
Maybe its just because you haven't got many fingermarks on your new screen yet?

Same here, 300 and 700 have identical screens. No difference. Bt a huge difference compared to the Classic |

OK chaps, I have been using both the 300 and a 500 which my son has for his Courier Business. Both are very good with 7 digit post codes. But I want to treat myself to my own Tom Tom Go...And as I have an endless supply of hard earned cash, I fancy the 700....Can anyone please convince me that the 70 is far better than the 500...If not...its a 500 for me with a 512MB card for all those extra POI's I need... |

If you want a remote and must have the Europe street level maps then go for the 700 - with its added Hard Drive.
Other than that save yourself £100 or so and get a 500. _________________ TTG 720 with TT Home edition 2.0

If you stay in Uk the 300or500 would be fine. If you go to Europe, and want the detail map, the 700 will probably be cheaper. Cost out the 500 and add the cost of either a bigger blank card and the maps of Western Europe (about £150) or an SDcard for (say) Benelux and France (£160 +P&P) _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)
