|

Hi everyone:
TomTom web has been hacked or at least that's my impression. The links to the 5.1 update (both .EXE and .ZIP) does not download such update file but a crack made by someone called Bakonl for TTN5 with Benelux maps.
Am I wrong? |

Here is where I'm looking:
http://www.tomtom.com/support/rightnow.php?Page=http://62.250.17.58/cgi-bin/es.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=3365
It all seems OK but have u tried to download it and have began installation. If so you'll see something like this:
At the beggining I couldn't believe it either, so I decided to give it a try. I unistalled TT5 and began a new installation. Before the activation of any map I executed the downloaded file supposed to be 5.1 update and here I am with my new TT5 at first sight fully functional with no activation required.
Do you believe it now?
P.D.: excuse my english, I'm spanish |

I just upgraded and it all looked normal to me. None of the screens you have posted appeared on mine. |

Sorry, sorry, sorry, I've been joke object.
Maybe my fellow worker is still laughing.
So I request excuses and I consider that the subject should be erased to avoid greater confusion. |

FYI
That particular variant of TOMTOM V5 is floating around on the P2P File sharing servers.
It's a pirated copy with the activation removed. If you have installed the code it's illegal.
