As always, we listen to what you want, and try to deliver it. Many of you said you wanted a POI-Sync service to allow you to download POI updates when they become available, rather than performing manual downloads from the website. We've thought about this long and hard, and believe we've come up with a solution that will work on all POI Add-On's for TomTom Navigator, and not restrict you to one add-on product. The alpha test has had a few problems, but I believe it's ready to be beta tested to a select amount of users. We are doing this because we only have limited time to respond to and help fix problems that are encountered as we have to continue to do everything we normally do, so with that in mind, we feel better to go with a restricted beta.



Requirements are

• PC with internet connection (our Sync software will be installed on your PC)
• Pocket PC running TomTom Navigator 1 or 2
• POI Add-on program like GPSAssist, POI-Warner or CheckPOInt (although not a specific requirement)

One IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT is that you're not using any other POI-Sync service whilst testing as this could cause problems with that service. We would also recommend that you backup your TomTom Country directory and also move the POI's that are in your country set directory out of this directory as this may cause problems.



We need people who are heavy users of POI's and plan to use it in one of the following countries:- Austria, Benelux, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, USA.



Sign me up, I want to test the new Pocket GPS POI-Sync Service! In that case, post a reply onto this thread with the following information

• Pocket PC make and model
• POI-Add on you use (eg none, GPSAssist, POI-Warner, CheckPOInt)
• Whether you are using another POI-Sync Service currently (include name and which application you use with this)

We'll then pick a number of people from this list who fit the beta requirement, and you will be granted access to the Pocket GPS POI-Sync Restricted Beta forum
