tomtom5 with syson gps cf plus card

hi al
i need your help, i,ve just upgraded to tomtom 5 which at the moment looks good but i have a problem, its says all the time no gps device. i,ve tried to change it to all of the different devices listed but it dos'nt seem to cover my gps receiver......can you help i need it to work this weekend!!!
