Hi all,
TomTom 3 what a rip off.....been using it for about 8 months and can say that I am impressed, basically the same as TT2. Its just a good job I got it cheap!!! It didnt even have my street on it and I been in this house for 8 years!!!
Just ordered TT5 now that looks more like it, looks like it has got some good updates and features. Also seems to be a very easy install i.e copy onto SD card then slot the card in your pda and follow the onscreen prompts!!!!
Have any of you guys got TT5 if so can you try my post code? DE7 9LL.
Just to see if the maps round our way have been updated?
Cheers all,
Jim. |

TT3 was that bad for me, the maps on TT3 ended halfway down a road which lead to mt street!!! I think TomTom were lagging behind with there soft ware until now. If my street wasnt on then how many others were not on? Dont forget that my street is 8 years old!! Good to here that TT5 has my street and proberbly many other new streets on it.
Cheers Jim.
PS check ebay for TT5, approx £6.00 quid.....yes six pounds!!!!!! |

So you should be able to find your way home now then. Better ring and let them know you'll be back soon.

I wish TT would do something about all the 'cheap' versions on Ebay. I don't want to sound boring, but the way it's going they won't make enough money from the PDA market and they will just pull out completely. Is it really that difficult to buy it? |

Perhaps it's me but I cannot say that I am that impressed with TT5. Having used TT3 for about a year with no problems at all I upgraded and found the maps appaling to say the least, streets that have been in existance for over 100 years suddenly have no house numbers (they were there on TT3) and it seems incapable of differentiating between a bend in the road and the straight route. On holiday recently in Northumberland it sent me round in so many cirlces I was getting dizzy and have uninstalled it and gone back to the much more reliable TT3. |
