|
|
Hi guys,
Anyone know if you can do this? Basically put a route in but mute the spoken directions. I DO want however to be shouted at for cameras and traffic.
It seems like a really obvious feature where you actually know the route but want sounds for alerts and cameras etc...anyone know if you can do it??
If not, get it into the next rev of the software! It's an obvious one.

As other have said, you can use a silent voice file.
But, if you know the route, you don't have to put a route in at all - you can just use the moving map display to show you where you are. That way, you will get camera warnings (provided "warn only when on route" is UN-checked) but you won't get any directions. _________________ Roger

Yep, I realise this, but you don't get the traffic without a route also...
Thanks

Fair enough!
I haven't got Traffic on my TTG Classic - so I may have missed some of the finer points! _________________ Roger

a 'silent' voice file - so simple yet so effective! I was actually wondering how to turn off voice directions yet keep cameras active only a few days ago - I don't like the directions disturbing my music :D
Thanks for the link! |

You sure about that? I thought mine was updating traffic with or without the route planned |

"Traffic" is traffic information which can be downloaded via your mobile phone from TomTom server. You need a GO 300/500/700 model and subscription to this service. It is not possible with GO Classic |
