Has anyone else tried to email TomTom with a query?
Their website contact by email requires prior registration and the link doesn't work. If the front of store service is so poor what can we expect of after sales. Looks like the competition will get my business. |

Thanks for the info Bo Peep, I've now read your previous reply on this subject.
If TomTom can't organise their website and contact facilities better than they have, whether deliberate or not, I think I'll give them a miss - I may need help after I've purchased, what then?
Appreciate your help. |

I went on the TT website with a general enquiry/whinge re USA maps for Uk purchased TT GO. Got a pretty rapid response. I wasn't happy with what they said and told them so, and got another rapid (and a bit defensive) response about management shackles.
Conculsion
Not happy with content of resposne, but reasonably cheerful I'm not being ignored. |

After using TT V2 and upgrading to V3 coupled with their poor/lack of support other than computer generated replies, 6 support requests still remaining un-answered. Out of date maps, destinations that were in V2 and now not in V3 I switched to CoPilot Live 5 from ALK whose email and phone support is second to none. _________________ Graham.

Forget tomtom problems at least you can get thorugh to them, I purchase CoPilot for my XDA II and the Copilot person, I think Sunil his name was, was clueless, the fact that he did not know that his own company had a patch to fix the lack of voice on the XDA II when using Copilot is appauling to say the least |

After spending good money on a TomTom 300, I recently went to their web site and downloaded new map upgrade 5.10.
I used the exe. option to download this upgrade and OH MY GOD do I regret It.
My TomTom unit now completly refuses to work and just says (maps missing).
Been back to the TomTom web site and posted an e-mail on their technical support.
Recently received answer which just told me to purchase a New SD card for 79 euros.
If this is the best that TomTom technical support can do? |

Yes I did.
And I re-installed my backup onto my SD card but this did not fix the problem. |

I might be able to fix your SD card, but it has to be the original TT card and the map folder should be on the card. |
