HI
I have the TomTom Go300 and have backed the files up on my PC.
Today I have brought a new Sd card and have formatted it on my PC linked to my TomTom i then tried to copy the program to it.
on my removable hard drive ( plugged in TomTom ) it shows the files there, but when i remove the cable from the TomTom and restart it all it does is shows a SD card coming out with a big red cross through it.
I take it it is showing me the card is faulty????? but the card on my pc is showing the TomTom software is on it.
Please some one tell me what i am doing wrong as i am at my wits end as these cards are not cheap.
thanks in advance |

How did you back the card up ?. All you need to do is copy all the files onyour original sdcard to a folder on your pc, format the new card and paste all the files onto it. _________________ Ray

If you backed up using the TomTom CD you will not have all the files.
If you copied all the files by copy and paste, did you check that all "hidden" files were shown?
Did you remove the GO by using "remove hardware safely" from the menu before disconnecting?
Did you wait for the blue SD card symbol to stop flashing before you unplugged? Most problems seem to be down to failing to copy the files by being too eager!! _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Thank you so much for your advice. I have started again and done it the way you stated and it worked. I also managed to put the speed cameras on.
many many thanks |
